As something unique, you will be in continuous dialogue with us through feedback from us on your reflections ensuring that you understand all the material correctly – this is what we call loop-learning.
The first week of the course begins with an introduction to the course and its structure. Thereby you get an overview of the specific contents and how the program of the six weeks is structured. You are, thereafter, introduced to how mental health and wellbeing can be strategic; and why that is so. You will learn about how to get executives in organisations to understand the importance of focusing on mental health and wellbeing and, furthermore, how to get them to execute on their knowledge. As the final part of the first week’s material, you will learn about the brain and its functionality. In this part, you will learn about System 1 and System 2, how stress impacts the brain, and how to use your understanding constructively when working with non-experts; having a thoroughly understanding of the brain simultaneously allows you to make the brain comprehensible on an every-day basis. Only by having such an understanding, can you teach others to implement and execute on their knowledge continuously.
In the second week of the course you are introduced to the newest research and discoveries in the field of neuroscience. The theme of the week is cognitive training, the importance of it, and how to implement it on an every-day basis. Being presented with these newly discovered ground-breaking secrets additionally builds the foundation for your further expertise as a brain-expert and, furthermore, develops your ethos related to working with executives. In this part, you will specifically learn about attention, impulse control, and selective attention; and the importance of acquiring knowledge on these factors in the 21st century. Moreover, you will learn about how cognitive exercises are objective stress indicators; and how to teach others to be aware of this.
In the third week of the course you learn how to get executives and CEOs to recognise that the best thing they can do for their employees, and thus to optimise their productivity, is to let the employees take pauses. In this part, you will especially learn how to convince leaders why this is such a crucial thing. Moreover, you are introduced to The Ambitious Pauses. You will in this part learn about the Constructive Pause, where you learn how to teach others to work proactively with their thoughts; Breathing Exercises, where you learn how to teach others to get in charge of their energy level and thereby their possibility of reaching peak performance; and Guided Relaxation, where you learn how to teach others to recharge their brains. You will, furthermore, learn about how pauses impact the brain; and how especially using the right breathing techniques can affect the Sympathetic Nervous System.
In the fourth week of the course you are to learn about Behavioural Change. In this part of the course you will learn about Behavioural and Sports Psychology. In this part of the course we especially focus on how you will never succeed in actually changing people’s lives if you only succeed in providing them with knowledge; because knowledge without action is useless. You will therefore learn how to teach others to use their knowledge; to implement it and execute it. Only by teaching others how to take action will make you able to change their lives.
In the fifth week of the course you are provided with our Facilitation Kit. You will get introduced to how to use and implement your new knowledge in practice, what to include in your work presentations, and lastly, you will be shown specific successful examples. The Facilitation Kit is therefore our recommended playbook on how to facilitate your further business. You will in this part of the course learn about how to implement and use your own personal story and experience to make your new certification and knowledge authentic and inspiring for your listeners and future customers.
Sales Strategy & Final Exam
The sixth and last week of the course is about Sales Strategy and The Final Exam. In this part of the course we focus on knowledge being great, but that you still have to get your foot in the door first. If you fail to do so first, your knowledge will never get you anywhere; if you do not know how to talk to leaders, so they listen, you will never get any costumers. You will in this last part of the course, furthermore, be provided with knowledge on how to attract the right customers for your business and how to sell your service through LinkedIn. You moreover get a concrete Go-To-Market Strategy so you can get easily started with your new business.
When provided with your last tool for making your new business a success, The Sales Strategy, you will have to take a final exam which is to be completed within 48 hours. This final exam will test you and your knowledge, and you will afterwards receive your well-deserved Certificate.
Let me introduce myself.
My name is Bjørn Jepsen and I am the father of three children aged 3, 6 and 9.
I have always gained great satisfaction from seeing people develop and increase their ability to perform mentally.
I first discovered this passion when I was working with sport athletes. I then discovered that I was able to move these athletes from being top 10 performers to being top 3 performers only by improving their mental mindset.
After a full double degree and a university background I started my professional job doing executive recruitments both nationally and internationally. Finding the right match between the person and the company was very enriching, but my true call lies in working with people over time.
I started WeFocus out of a passion of wanting to help people improve their mental health and wellbeing in the workplace from a scientific point of view and a proactive approach.
What gives me the greatest satisfaction working with people who want to become corporate mental health facilitators are:
